Other fine HDTVs

There are many remarkable HDTVs available like Toshiba REGZA (which BTW has a great video on youtube).

But one might also consider some bigger screens than the 32" REGZA, such as 46 inch Sony Bravia KDL-46XBR4 (with some review), it is somehow high-ended (with appropriate price of around $2,600), but it provides a HUGE quality of the screen, I have seen it in a store and I probably fell in love with this HDTV :)

Wait for more of my HDTV journey...

Probably found the one

Hi again,
There are so many HDTV solutions out there that I don't know which to choose. Should I go with Plasma or LCD? Do I need 32" or 60"? Are does HDMI connectors really necessary?
Maybe I should wait for the wider spread of Blu-ray?

To answer on of those questions, I found out that besides Plasma and LCD there is a third way a DLP (LED) way of displaying the video. There aren't many HDTV that use DLP as it wasn't very cheap earlier (cause they needed a replacement of some thingy inside the TV every year or so), but now when technology is better they last even longer than LCD (not to mention Plasma).

One of the examples of this family is the Samsung HLT5087SAX which I must say looks amazing when you look at the thin frames!

This time I was looking at Samsung FPT5084, it is a nice HDTV, yeah, it's not cheap, but it is 50 inches !

I saw that it has very good contrast 15000 to 1, most of the screens I was looking so far had only 5000 to 1. Oh, and it displays colors using 18 bits, I'm not sure what it means but people say that it allows better colors (more vivid) which is also nice.

So, of to look for somre reviews of Samsung FPT5084

No luck

Still no luck at finding my new TV set, after christmas there isn't enough money for the large ones, but maybe I could get some smaller (32"?) and still enjoy some good quality movies?

Have to resort to google for help....

Want to buy some HDTV

I'm looking to buy a HDTV, I'm not sure what to choose - Plasma or LCD.

Currently I've found some listings from amazons:
  • Samsung LNT4671F 46" 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV
  • Toshiba REGZA 32HL67U 32" 720p LCD HDTV
  • Panasonic TH-42PZ700U 42″ 1080p Plasma HDTV
  • Sharp Aquos LC65D64U 65″ 1080p LCD HDTV (ok, this is a joke it is WAY to price'y)
I've lookd thruought the web to find some additional reviews about those HDTVs but at the same time I've found review of Hitachi P42H401 42″ HD1080 Plasma HDTV which would suit me fine, becouse it is not as expensive as full HD TVs and as I understand good from this review it is much better than traditional 720p ones.

What do you recommend?
